Palit GeForce GTX 470 Pro Reviews

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Overall, the Palit GeForce GTX 470 is a commendable take on the GeForce GTX 470. While performance hasn't improved due to Palit's decision to stick with reference clock speeds, the card does run significantly cooler, which is crucial considering how hot a standard GeForce GTX 470 can get. And while one could argue that we got lucky, nevertheless, we were thoroughly impressed with its overclocking performance.

If you want to get away from the stock GTX 470 the Palit version is one worth looking at. As always, it carries with it a more attractive price point which is super appreciated when you're spending big bucks on video card.

The good news is that noise levels aren't really any worse than a single reference GTX 470, but heat on the top card is going to be worse. Our graphs show this and you have to remember that Palit and Galaxy have opted for new coolers. Throw in reference coolers and the cards are going to run even warmer.
