Brother MFC-6890CDW Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

For those looking for a tabloid-sized multifunction printer, the MFC-6890CDW is a decent option. It has a ton of features and prints good quality office documents. Photos are not its strong suit, however, and its paper handling leaves something to be desired.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Given its features, especially the A3 flatbed scanner, this device is not overpriced. It brings A3 printing and scanning to the home and small office, but is let down by its workmanlike print quality.

The MFC-6890CDW has quite a bit going for it, if you need A3 prints and copies. It's versatile in the sizes and shapes of paper it can handle, though neither the speed nor print quality is particularly impressive. Duplex printing is restricted to A4 pages and is very slow so, although it can print on both sides of the paper, the machine's good roster of facilities may not be that useful.

PC World‘s review Edit

Ledger-size products like Brother's MFC-6890CDW color inkjet multifunction printer let you skip the local print shop and print a wider (literally) range of documents in-house. But as with similar products we've tested (including the HP OfficeJet K8600dn and the Oki Printing Solutions C8800N), this MFP's talent comes at a price. Furthermore, it's a very slow performer. If you need tabloid printing, this machine offers it; but there are speed and cost tradeoffs.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

Ultimately it has to be asked whether the advantages of having affordable A3 printing in the home are outweighed by the painfully slow printing process and at best indifferent output quality offered by the MFC-6890CDW.

I'm torn with the Brother MFC-6890cdw. It offers an abundance of great office centric features including: 11 x 17 inch print outs, scans, and copies, a 350-sheet paper capacity, built-in networking with security protected remote setup, low energy consumption and a set of four high-capacity cartridges with the original packaging.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The MFC-6890CDW is a fine MFD for a small office, and a fantastic one for a home user. It is extremely well featured, from the wireless connection to the duplex printing, and of course its wonderful A3 scan/print support. Our only significant criticisms concern the inability of the ADF to scan in duplex and the frustration that the best print features are not supported by Tray 2.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

If you want wide-format printing capabilities, you need a machine like the Brother MFC-6890CDW. But this model is so expensive and slow that my enthusiasm for it is lukewarm at best.
