HIS HD 4850 IceQ 4 512MB Pro Reviews

ExtremeTech‘s review Edit

Cooler, quieter, and more power efficient than the reference design. Our favorite of the non-reference HD 4850 designs, it hits the sweet spot for cooling, performance, and price.

Fundamentally, it's hard not to like the HIS Radeon HD 4850 IceQ4 TurboX 512MB. The only slight disappointment we experienced was with the limited overclocking headroom on our card, but it goes to show there is only so much uprating a cooler can guarantee, and factors other than heat prove just as much of a barrier.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

If there were ever such a thing as a perfect Radeon HD 4850 (price notwithstanding), this could very well be it. So if you are currently on the lookout for a competitive mid-range GPU like the 4850 and have a bit of money to spend, the HIS Radeon HD 4850 IceQ 4 Turbo X is a good starting point (and perhaps also the end point) to begin your search.

It’s good to see that HIS have added their magic touch to the HD 4850. This is a great card and if you’re looking for a very fast HD 4850 which comes with a great cooling solution, the HIS HD 4850 IceQ4 TurboX is highly recommended. Now the only thing to decide is whether or not to buy one or two.
