computershopper‘s review Edit

The overclocked Radeon HD 5850 Toxic Edition provides gaming performance very close to that of cards selling for about $100 more.

motherboards‘s review Edit

Sapphire has taken their Toxic HD 5850 and added 1GB of memory to it. As such the performance of the card is predictable as it is essentially the same card as the other Toxic HD 5850 with more memory. The card performs as expected from a HD 5850 chip with excellent gaming performance throughout the games I tried it on. 2GB of memory makes a difference when high resolution AA and AF is enabled and in the intense DirectX 11 games that do a lot of special effects. Sapphire does the job and does it well with a 765MHz/1125MHz core/memory speed. 2GB of memory is interesting but not a game-changer in terms of the new card.
