Sapphire HD 5450 512MB DDR3 PCIE DP Pro Reviews

Fudzilla‘s review Edit

If you’re looking to upgrade from integrated graphics or looking to build an HTPC without having to shell out more serious bucks, this is probably a wise choice, but upgrading your HD 4550 for the sake of gaming alone might not be as wise.

Graphics cards aren't just for gaming, and though the HD 5450 has its uses, older cards can do most these jobs for less.

motherboards‘s review Edit

The Sapphire card has DVI, DisplayPort and VGA interfaces for the monitor connection which brings the most popular monitor connections and the latest HDTV connection to the plate. You can also use HDMI with an adapter. One thing is clear on this video card, while it supports DirectX 11, it doesn’t have the performance to run 3D games with that API and ultimately it is not a gaming card by any sense of the means.

tweaktown‘s review Edit

This model is aimed at the office PC; in that environment it's going to be great. Its low power, low profile and low cost make it attractive for that type of use. It's everything that a company wants in a graphics card.

hardwarecanucks‘s review Edit

For those of us who view the computer hardware world through enthusiast-colored glasses, the HD 5450 will be the point of ridicule and jokes about its low performance. However, for the market it is targeted towards, it offers the absolute perfect mix of low-end gaming capabilities, HD decoding muscle and efficiency all wrapped into an extremely cost-conscious package.
