Sapphire HD 5570 1GB DDR3 DP Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

We reckon that the Radeon HD 5570 is the cheapest 'proper' gaming card from the new stable and it's a decent-enough card in its own right. But as we have stated with the HD 5670 and HD 5450 reviews, pricing, given the performance, could be sharper. The etail price of around £65 for this particular card brings too many rival options into play, right up to a Radeon HD 5670 512MB, for it to be awarded an outright recommendation.

The HD 5570 is ultimately a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You're not going to be playing the latest games at 1680 x 1050, you're not going to be playing games across three 24" monitors, but you are going to get some great performance at 1280 x 1024 with newer games or 1680 x 1050 with older games.

hardwarecanucks‘s review Edit

When taken by itself, this is one card that can act as the perfect bridge between the low priced spectrum and higher-end cards that are out of most consumers’ reach. However, in such a cluttered market, the HD 5570 becomes a hard sell from a purely gaming perspective. Basically, it all comes down to price and as we saw with the HD 5450, the HD 5570 is slightly more expensive than it should be but it serves as a perfectly reasonable follow-up to the card it replaces.
