ASUS ENGTX260 MATRIX/HTDI/896MD3 Pro Reviews

pcstats‘s review Edit

With a price of $230 CDN ($200 USD, £120 GBP), ASUS' ENGTX260 MT/HTDI/896MD3-A videocard is a little more expensive than some of the reference Geforce GTX 260 videocards on the market. In return you're getting more overclocking control, more voltage tweaking control, and a videocard cooler that's well... cooler. The ASUS ENGTX260 MT/HTDI/896MD3-A videocard is a good high-performance option for the do-it-yourself overclocker who's likely to spend as much time tweaking components as playing games.

motherboards‘s review Edit

The ENGTX260Matrix is a very interesting card for those wanting the ultimate in cooling for their video cards. Two fans allow the card to reach 650MHz by overclocking the card via iTracker. You get the ASUS quality hardware and software. Hybrid Cooler works as advertised, causing the fans to be idle when the card was idle. A solid bundle for hardware and software completes this package. It's interesting to note that performance on the card came close to that of the GTX 275 in some cases. Depending on what price point this card hits the market ASUS may have a winner.

HEXUS‘s review Edit

The grounds-up design of the GeForce GTX 260 MATRIX is unmistakeable. Shipping with a more-comprehensive software set - iTracker - the voltage-adjustments settings are generous. Trouble is, the fans are loud when set to the default profile; and the pre-overclocking is meagre. That's real shame because the card has plenty of headroom with the voltage bumped up.
