Panasonic HM-TA1 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

Apart from the built-in video light, webcam capability, and marginally better low light ability than many competitors, Panasonic’s HM-TA1 is a relatively innocuous pocket Internet camcorder. However, it does have one feature to set it apart from the crowd – its price. At around £85, even when you add the price of a SDHC memory card, you should still pay less than £100. This makes the HM-TA1 one of the best value camcorders in its class.

Detailed 1080p footage in good lighting conditions, but design issues and low light performance mean it isn’t for everyone.

The TA1’s excellent daylight quality and small size are attractive, but it’s let down by being fiddly.

The Panasonic HM-TA1 minicamcorder offers above-average HD video recording in a small package, but is otherwise pretty lame.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

If you're after something cute and sexy in your pocket, then you're barking up the wrong tree here. What the Panasonic HM-TA1 offers is some really good imagining power packed tight into an incredibly convenient and small frame. It's a joy to carry around and it won't let you down, and it has got the inner most issues addressed. Unfortunately, Panasonic doesn't seem to have brought the usability guys in on this one and there are just too many obvious niggles to make it an absolute winner. All the same though, you'd be a fool not to consider it.
