ASUS EN8800GTS/HTDP/512M Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The new 8800 GT is an impressive performer and its slender form and reasonable price may tempt the budget-conscious gamer. You need to consider the heat that this graphics card produces and will probably have to employ some extra cooling, so if you can stand the extra cost and the double slot requirement of the Asus GTS, that's the graphics card we'd suggest. Either way the G92 update is proof that the GeForce 8800 still has plenty of life.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

As for the ASUS EN8800GTS TOP, the rather generic nature of its bundle and package as compared to the ASUS' GeForce 8800 GT TOP Edition, makes us wonder if ASUS had to cut some corners in order to get this product out on time. If you're looking for a card that runs cooler than the GeForce 8800 GT, overclocks better and more importantly, may actually be found on the retail shelves, then the new, revised GeForce 8800 GTS is a more than worthy successor to its name.

ASUS generally seems to have done a very good job with the 8800GTS TOP. The performance increase is certainly there over the standard 8800GT, and if you’re not willing to overclock or just plain don’t want to you can see why you would go for this card.
