ASUS ENGTX285/HTDI/1GD3 Pro Reviews

TechSpot‘s review Edit

Asus has done a nice job with their factory overclocked GTX 285, even though it's basically an Nvidia reference card with a few tweaks and a new label. When we tried squeezing a few extra MHz out of this already overclocked card we saw a stop at 710/1600/2690MHz for maximum core, shader and memory frequencies. That is not a bad result given we were using the standard cooler, though actual performance increases out of it should be minimal.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Being the slower of the two, the ASUS ENGTX285 TOP is also the cheaper option at US$409, while the MSI N285GTX-OC is the costlier card at about US$429.To sum things up, the two cards tested here are solid offerings from their respective makers and performed exactly as they were intended to. There was little to separate between them and we think that in the end, it all boils down to personal preference or perhaps whether or not you like what was bundled with them.

Overall, we have a good card here and while not for everyone, it does cater to a market who no doubt are going to love it.
