The Imaging Resource‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Olympus has clearly "raised the bar" for performance in high-end digicams with the C-2500L. The image quality is exceptional, the design strong and user-friendly, and the range of application via the optional accessory lenses and the FL-40 dedicated flash unit excellent. It showed both the highest resolution and most accurate color of any camera we've tested to date (October, 1999).

DP Review‘s review Edit Like Unlike

The C-2500L will still appeal to alot of buyers and I'm sure Olympus will sell bucket loads of them, it produces high quality images and is a true digital SLR with a TTL viewfinder. Lots of manual features and lots of unique features, for me though it just falls short of what it really should be and should have, and I'm still concerned as to why it feels like an "inbetweener".
