GIGABYTE GV-N220OC-512I Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Gigabyte's tweaked GT 220 is the best we've seen, but it's not enough to persuade us to buy this card.

motherboards‘s review Edit

These are not gaming cards that is the first thing to get out of the way. If you are looking for a fast video card I would suggest looking elsewhere as these cards do not have the performance to run the latest and greatest games without some sacrifice in playability resolution or setting. On the other hand performance on the GT220 OC from Gigabyte was enough to play many games with some decent performance numbers at low resolutions and is a nice upgrade from the Intel integrated or AMD integrated graphics on their motherboards without spending too much money.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

Gigabyte has used the ‘new' GT 220 chip in a reference overclocked design that isn't powerful enough for decent gaming. On the bright side the support for HDMI and DVI along with Nvidia's video decoder and the quiet cooler mean that the Gigabyte is a legitimate contender for modest upgrades.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

The GeForce GT 220 is powerful enough to provide menaingful PhysX acceleration, but the bottom line is that these cards have to be able to deliver the right performance at the right price. That will be a really difficult thing to do in an extremely crowded sub-$80 arena due to compelling competition.
