Canon Pixma MX860 Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

This device can work in conjunction with your PC or as a stand-alone unit and supports USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections. Indeed, this is the Swiss army knife of printers, although you might find it has more functions than you actually need.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

If you can live with the Canon Pixma MX860’s conservative, bulky design and slightly complicated setup, you’ll find it offers decent document printing speeds over Wi-Fi, as well as the best quality of any $199 business all-in-one printer. Although we chose the Kodak ESP 7 as our Editors’ Choice winner, thanks to its sleeker design, easier setup, and less expensive ink supplies, the MX860 remains a strong choice because of its image quality.

This somewhat pedestrian multifunction printer is easy to use and has all the right functions and features, but it's a painfully slow performer and can be tedious to set up.

PC World‘s review Edit

Canon's Pixma MX860 color inkjet multifunction printer is a nicely equipped, moderately priced ($200 as of May 5, 2009) machine that would serve a small office well. Its older cousin, the Canon Pixma MX700, is faster and a little cheaper, but has fewer features.

printercomparison‘s review Edit

If I were looking to buy an affordable, dependable all-in-one printer for my home/home office, the MX860 would be on my short list of options. It has print (plus photos), scan, copy and fax capability as well as built-in duplexing, a 35-page ADF and a built-in card reader. On top of that, it worked well. I didn’t experience one paper jam or print error when reviewing the MX860. That says a lot about its performance in my opinion.

The Canon Pixma MX860 supplies a wide array of features for an affordable price. But it's not fast.

The Canon Pixma MX860's auto-document feeder, large LCD screen, and quick print speeds are sure to increase your productivity, but it also includes plenty of software to nourish your creative interests. At $199, this multifunctional printer earns our recommendation.
