Canon Pixma MX340 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

Canon’s PIXMA MX340 is a neat, serviceable all-in-one, with reasonable speed, good fax facilities and fair print and copy performance. It's expensive to run, though, and the print quality, unusual for a Canon machine, isn't the best in its class. While the wireless connection is handy to have, it's becoming far less of a differentiator than it was. There are quite a few machines which can get close to or exceed the performance of this machine, in what is becoming an increasingly crowded product area.

If you’re willing to sacrifice print speed and some usability for top-notch print quality, this $100 all-in-one inkjet is for you.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Running costs are a touch high on this model too, but overall it's a fair if not spectacular performance from the Canon. You do get quite a lot of printer for your money and the fax and wireless capabilities are a useful addition too. The MX340 isn't an all-round performer, but it's a decent device with good specification.

PC World‘s review Edit

The Canon Pixma MX340 does everything needed of an MFP, at a bare-bones level--and at a very low entry price. But if you do a lot of printing, you'll be better off in the long run with a model whose inks are more affordable.

The MX340 does everything, but its print costs make it unsuitable for high-volume printing.

Small businesses looking for an affordable all-in-one printer which includes fax capability will be bowled over by the PIXMA MX340's versatility, Wi-Fi connection and speed of operation, although its ink usage is pricey and its colour quality variable.

As it stands, the Pixma MX340 would make an excellent addition to a home office offering standard office features for only $99. It could also make a great gift for a student in need of a printer because it’s multifunctional; it can print documents, photos, scan notes, and save items to a flash drive.
