Samsung Intercept Pro Reviews

brighthand‘s review Edit

Using the Samsung Intercept was a big drop down for me after using such high-end models as the Samsung Captivate. But something happened as I talked with others about this model. Many people remarked on just how much better ithe screen was than their current mobiles. And to be true, a 3-inch Touchscreen with nice looking icons looks a lot better than some of the interfaces found in feature phones today.

The Android platform is expanding at an exponential rate. From the occasional device here and there to a new phone every week, it's hard to keep track of the growth. In a sea of summer releases, the Samsung Intercept is one of the nicer mid-range devices I've worked with. The full QWERTY keyboard is roomy and perfect for typing, and it's yet another form factor for prospective buyers to consider.

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

The Samsung Intercept is a nice device, but a tough sell. It isn't just that there are better competing Android devices on the market, it's that there are better Android devices from Samsung, also available on Sprint. The Intercept is smaller and much cuter than the Samsung Moment, but the Moment has a much, much nicer screen, a better keyboard, faster networking and a faster overall feel, which is strange, since the two phones use similar processors.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Android 2.1-powered Samsung Intercept isn't particularly memorable, but it's a solid choice for smartphone buyers looking for a budget pick.

This $99 Android phone offers a comfortable keyboard and good features for the price, but you'll make some trade-offs.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Call quality was very good with the Samsung Intercept. We had no issues hearing callers and they sounded clear and natural. They commented that this was one of the better phones we have tested and said if there was anything to complain about it was a slight tininess, but that was nitpicking. The battery is rated at 6.4 hours, nearly an hour higher than the Samsung Moment which didn’t come close to hitting the mark. In our testing we were came up just short at 6.3 hours, which is still fine. It should hold up to a day of usage without much problem, which is what a smartphone needs to do.
