KODAK ESP 5250 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

When you compare the ESP 5250 with its immediate predecessor, the ESP 5, you can see you pay highly for the wireless connection. You lose CompactFlash and USB/PictBridge sockets and have to live with a considerably smaller LCD screen. At Internet prices you pay the best part of £30 extra for the privilege, too. Ultimately you'd get better value buying the ESP 5 and adding a separate wireless adapter.

An affordable all-in-one with cheap ink, Kodak's ESP 5250 isn't fast, but its ease of use and print quality will satisfy budget-minded users.

The Kodak ESP 5250 is a nicely made and easy to use all-in-one device. Print quality is good and so is the scan quality, copies are just okay though.

Despite excellent networking features and reasonable print costs, mediocre print quality makes this an average MFP.

The Imaging Resource‘s review Edit

From the introduction of Kodak's pigment-based inkjets, we've been impressed with the concept. The finely ground pigments matched to the extensive paper grades and finishes all barcoded for identification by the printer promised a level of quality and repeatability not usually experienced in the multifunction market.

Kodak's upgrade for the ESP 5 is a curious trade-off in order to keep the price low, losing memory card and USB input options and gaining Wi-Fi and a marked improvement in photo quality.

printercomparison‘s review Edit

After reviewing the ESP 5250, I have to say that I enjoyed using it. It wasn’t the perfect AIO but with a street price of at least $20 under the estimated retail value ($159.99) and relatively cheap ink refills (compared to the other inkjets), it’s worth considering for your home or student.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Although the Wi-Fi in the Kodak ESP 5250 is tempting, other than that this MFP is an unremarkable device that happens to have very inexpensive inks. While it would fit nicely into a light-duty environment, other models in this price range are faster or better performers on plain paper.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Kodak's ESP 5250 multifunction printer isn't marred by the errors of its predecessors, but it still needs improvement before it can keep up with the competition. Right now, its pleasing photo quality and satisfactory output speed don't justify the $170 price tag and lack of features.
