SMC SMCWGBR14-N Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

Don't be fooled by its bland appearance—the SMC Barricade SMCWBR14-N offers great range and speed, and plenty of advanced features. It's a bit expensive for a single-band router, however, and could use a better setup wizard.

For router security features there’s little between SMC and D-Link’s DIR-655 but the latter’s Gigabit ports make it look a far better deal – especially as it only costs a few pounds more. Wireless performance is in the same ball park but SMC is only worth considering if you don’t want Gigabit on the LAN.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The nicely priced SMCWGBR14 Barricade N has a decent feature set and performs very well at long range. But it lacks 5-GHz capability and could use better throughput at the 20-foot-and-under range.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

With a fair price, decent performance, and dead-simple setup, the SMC SMCWGBR14-N Barricade N router is about as well-rounded a Draft N router as you'll find. It also boasts impressive range and a smart design. We strongly recommend it for general home use.
