Samsung Vibrant Pro Reviews

PC World‘s review Edit

The Samsung Vibrant boasts a gorgeous Super AMOLED display and a bevy of multimedia features, but some users might be disappointed by the absence of a flash on its camera.

MacNN‘s review Edit

It's hard to dispute the Vibrant's prowess as a phone. It's simple to use but has the flexibility of Android under the hood; it has a large screen and fast performance without needing a charger in eyesight. Samsung's customizations aren't uniform improvements to Android, but they may help ease the transition and take some of the "alpha nerd" intimidation away. For those looking for a very compelling iPhone alternative, it may very well have arrived.

My gripes and groans about the choice of materials and custom software notwithstanding, I think Vibrant is an excellent smartphone. To say it again, I'll take Vibrant over myTouch 3G Slide as the current king of T-Mobile's offerings. Vibrant packs a ton of processing power, features, and display space into a remarkably thin, lightweight package, and the phone breezes through most tasks with ease.

mobiledia‘s review Edit

The Vibrant is an enjoyable and easy-to-use smartphone, that should please most users with its responsiveness, great screen technology and speedy processor. The camera is good, but not quite great when compared with the ever-advancing technology now available on other smartphones.

It is interesting. I went into using the Samsung Vibrant thinking that it was exactly the same as the Captivate, as they are both part of the Galaxy S series. Instead, I feel more like I'm using two cars from different GM lines -- Buick and Chevy, for example. The Vibrant comes across as a more media-focused device, even though it really doesn't offer much more than the Captivate. It "feels" more fun, especially when sitting next to a Captivate.

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

The Vibrant is one of the better Android handsets available from T-Mobile. It beats the CLIQ and CLIQ XT hands down on many levels. It easily offers one of the best displays available in T-Mobile's entire offering. Some may not like the large size of the device (a result of the large display), and those people could be happy with the smaller myTouch 3G Slide. It also doesn't have a physical keyboard, so those who require one might also have to stick with the myTouch 3G Slide.

Engadget‘s review Edit

In fact, you could argue that the Vibrant instantly becomes the best phone T-Mobile offers (with the myTouch 3G Slide being a close second). On AT&T, well... it's either second or first, depending on whether you love or hate the iPhone 4. If we had to choose between the two, we'd go with the Vibrant - we prefer the looks just ever so slightly, but more importantly, it lacks AT&T's boneheaded restrictions.

Samsung’s Vibrant has become the best Android phone on T-Mobile, and even outperforms its AT&T sibling, the Captivate.

The Samsung Vibrant is T-Mobile's super-phone, and it delivers a lot of power on some really inexpensive monthly plans.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

The Android faithful on T-Mobile finally have a phone worth boasting about. The Samsung Vibrant's Super AMOLED display is a great showcase for content and apps, and it's a swift performing phone with a good amount of storage. We wish the Vibrant had a flash for its camera and mobile hotspot capability, but overall it's a fantastic device.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

Of all the Android smartphones with over sized displays (4.0 inches or greater) to come along, I probably like the Samsung Vibrant (and its Galaxy S brethren) best in terms of hardware. The phone feels more manageable with one hand than devices like the HTC EVO 4G and Motorola DROID X, and you gotta love the Super AMOLED touchscreen technology.I am, however, disappointed by the performance of the phone's internal antenna on T-Mobile, and am often dogged by random pauses and stumbles in what is otherwise a blazingly fast device. And even with Swype, my personal tastes lean towards devices with hardware keyboards (like Sprint's Epic 4G).

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

T-Mobile customers have been treated to a stellar device in Google's very first branded phone – the Google Nexus One. Up until now, the Nexus One claimed the top title not only in T-Mobile's lineup, but on many others around the world as well. However, the Samsung Vibrant comes storming out of the gate to provide customers a new level of experience that's supplemented by its refreshing interface, swift performance, and battery life that makes everything else before it pale in comparison. The Super AMOLED display doesn't disappoint as it's clearly the first striking characteristic that enthralls gazers from a far distance – not to mention playing Avatar will also get the smartphone noticed by peers.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Sleek and fast, the Samsung Vibrant is one of T-Mobile's top smartphones for entertainment, but its feature set takes a toll on the battery life.
