ETYMOTIC hf3 Pro Reviews

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Etymotic Research canalphone was the original and the Etymotic hf3 sits easily among the very best earphones available at any price. With the hf3, Etymotic Research is offering a superbly balanced earphone/mic combination that will bring out music like few earphones can.

It's under no dispute that the hf3 headset does a great job of reproducing a detailed, uncoloured and, above all, accurate sound. And the provision of volume controls, in addition to the play/pause button and microphone the predeceasing hf2 headset offered is definitely a useful improvement. Inexplicable, however, is the disparity in price between the hf2 and hf3 headsets given how minor the change is - the former offers much better value for money.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

We liked the hf2 headphones and we like the hf3's as well. The well-balanced sound makes them easy to listen to, while the additional functionality for iPod and iPhone users comes in handy. We are still trying to master the voice calling headset capabilities and are getting better at judging the level at which we need to talk, but it's frustrating that you can't seem to adjust the voice volume and not the ear volume - a side affect of having such good sound. If you travel a lot and need to eradicate noise while listening to music or talking shop with friends or work, the combination of the headphones and those ACS custom fits make the Etymotic hf headphones a great choice, and one that we can highly recommend.
