Samsung UE32C6000 Pro Reviews

hdtvtest‘s review Edit

Samsung produced yet another winner that will appeal to many users, and managed to improve upon the previous model in every aspect bar input lag. For that reason and the auto-dimming, the Samsung UE32C6000 slipped away from the top spot. Hopefully Samsung will acknowledge that HDTVs of today are no longer mere devices that display images from STBs and Deck Players, but serve a much wider purpose (e.g. monitors, gaming, picture frame etc.). We appreciate that it is not easy to lower the input lag while rendering high quality image that is pleasing to the eye, but surely there must be a solution to amend the issue. We urge Samsung on behalf of our readers to take input lag gravely and to reduce it to an acceptable level of 30ms or below.

If you want a flatscreen that lives up to that moniker, but don't want to pay for frivolous features, Samsung’s UE32C6000 will appeal. Highly capable with SD and HD, but missing Internet connectivity (and 3D compatibility), decent file support via USB ensures reasons to buy this Edge LED set other than pure vanity.

As well as setting the bar in design terms, the 32C6000 is a very decent all-round performer, making both its edge LED lighting and solid picture processing pay. If you fancy Samsung’s Internet@TV service then you might want to go for one of Samsung’s online-capable CCFL LCD TVs instead; the excellent 32C650 can be had for as little as £440 if you shop around online. But if you just can’t resist those sultry edge LED looks, then you can get the 32C6000 safe in the knowledge that its beauty isn’t just skin deep.

Swish design and generally impressive performance can’t quite negate backlighting issues

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The UE32C6000 is an appealing screen with supermodel looks and a penchant for serving up some wonderful HD pictures. Its Freeview HD tuner makes terrestrial TV look as good as it ever has and its a perfect partner for a Sky box too. The numerous adjustment tools could keep you busy for hours but we suspect most users will simply select one of the basic picture modes and be perfectly happy.
