Great cheap wireless mouse

Created by dexterv on Dec 13, 2010

Ownership period: less than 3 months.
I've been using this mouse for 2 months now and I am pleased with it. The design is comfortable for prolonged use (moderate office use, light CAD design). The buttons are placed well and the materials feel fine. The only desing flow is that the nano receiver sticks a millimeter out of its bay and may fall out during transport but if you use the bag provided this might not be an issue. I have to point out that the mouse does not have a physical 4-way scroll but merely a software feature which I have't tested. The mouse is power thirsty - it went through the batteries supplied in a month and a half - works on rechargeables but I reckon they will not last long. The range is very good - it works on >5m, there is no detectable lag and works fine for casual gaming. I had to download the latest drivers from the manufactorer's website to fix an annoying issue with the forward and back buttons. The software is good, easy to use, it lets select DPI and report rate, shows signal strenght and could be used to change channels, it also controls the extra software features like 8in1 and 4D-wheel. It also has a battery meter.
