Mitsubishi HC7000 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

Mitsubishi has certainly come on leaps and bounds with the HC7000, providing more evidence if it were needed that LCD has no intention of being overwhelmed by its great DLP and D-ILA rivals. But with the projection world now getting so scarily competitive, little issues like slightly impoverished brightness levels and minor colour tone slips are enough to cost the HC7000 the unreserved recommendation it would definitely have earned if we'd seen it six months to a year ago.

It’s a shame that Mitsubishi are not a name one suddenly associates with quality home cinema projection, because for the last three years they have produced some stunning machines. This year’s top of the range HC7000 is a real star in my eyes, with stunningly good black levels and excellent picture processing. It has lots of new technology that many – especially the custom install market – will be very happy to see and its overall performance is certainly positive. The slight colour issues will not affect everyone who demos this projector, but a greyscale calibration is certainly recommended to get the best performance out of the machine.

Home Theater‘s review Edit

Mitsubishi really impressed me with the HC7000. I haven’t had a lot of experience with the company’s previous designs, but this one delivered a razor-sharp image with exceptional video processing capabilities. I didn’t care for its inaccurate colorimetry, but its ultra-quiet design and great creature features make it one to add to your short list in this price range.
