PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy 580 Android smartphone is compact and feature packed, but it remains overpriced compared to alternatives, particularly the excellent LG Optimus One.

The Samsung Galaxy Apolo I5801 is a rather nice handset in many ways. It's well built, has all the essential features and is easy to use. However, thanks to a certain Orange San Francisco, its value has been eroded, leaving it as something of an also ran. It's not a bad phone, it's just that there are better options for the money, now.

It may have updated software, but the Apollo lacks its predecessor’s excellent AMOLED screen and it feels far cheaper.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Galaxy Apollo is currently available on Orange contracts starting from £20 a month, and at that price its classy (Samsung) UI and superb capacitive touchscreen obliterate the competition. The phone's 400 x 240 display offers a better resolution than that of the competing HTC Wildfire, while the capacitive touchscreen is a massive enhancement over the resistive screen of the Vodafone 845.
