Combining TV and navigation in a single device costing less than £200 earns the Mio Moov Spirt V505 TV Brownie points in terms of value for money and portability. Of course, these features can't be used simultaneously, making the Mio an essential purchase only if you require both. There's no mains charger for use away from the car, and it's unlikely that you'll pick up reception inside a building anyhow, so it's a shame Mio didn't think to provide a headphone jack to avoid disturbing other passengers. As a satnav alone, the V505 is on par with other models in its price range, with no major gripes but, equally, no major attractions
