www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

Full marks for styling, V-Moda, but the Crossfade LP’s sound quality is a real let-down.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

If we were going on looks alone then the Crossfades would be right up there with the very best. We know that we've harped on about their stylish disposition – but come on, look at them, they are an extremely cool looking pair of headphones. It's only really the performance that lets the Crossfades down. It's not that the performance is bad – it's very good. It's just not as good as it should be because of (a) the price-tag and (b) the aesthetics of the actual device.

CrunchGear‘s review Edit

If you’re looking to spend $250 on headphones, you want them to be the ones you use exclusively. But for the time being, you may not get all of the functionality out of them, depending on your device. I expect compatibility will open up eventually. You get a nice, study case and a cleaning cloth for good measure (got to keep your utensils looking sharp). This could be a good long-term investment. Just do your research first.

Gizmodo‘s review Edit

While we were looking forward to V-Moda taking their model of providing relatively cheap headphones at a relatively decent price to the over-the-ear space, the Crossfade LP is not the winner that we hoped. We'll see if subsequent iterations can improve the comfort and sound quality while dropping the cost.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

$249.99 is undoubtedly expensive for a set of headphones, though it’s worth pointing out that they’re still cheaper than Monster’s similarly bass-loving Beats Studio (which currently sell for around $300 online). More divisive than the price is the audio tailoring, however. If your tastes lean to the modern and thumping then the V-MODAs should definitely be on your auditioning list; classical aficionados should probably look elsewhere.
