LG BD300 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

There’s no reason why we’d recommend the LG above any of the key contenders at this price – for the money the BD300 is a real let down

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The LG BD300 is the fastest Blu-ray player we've tested, and its support for Netflix Instant Streaming is a nice bonus that comes with this solid value.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Let's look at the facts: for £250 you get a good-looking Blu-ray player that supports BD-Live, loads up discs in double-quick time and serves up respectable pictures. And that sounds like excellent value for money to us. It won't give Pioneer and Panasonic anything to worry about in terms of picture quality, and you need an HDMI-equipped receiver to make the most of its audio talents, but on the whole the BD300 serves as a fantastic entrée into the world of Blu-ray.

Home Theater‘s review Edit

LG has done a spectacular job with its first standalone Blu-ray player. The BD300 sets the bar for disc load and response times. Netflix support only adds to the allure of this low-priced player. I hope other manufacturers take note, because the standalone Blu-ray player market just got a whole lot faster.

PC World‘s review Edit

The LG BD300 has all the features you'd want in a Blu-ray player, but the images it produces aren't as good as they should be.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The most impressive thing about the BD300 is the amount of features you get for your money, including support for BD Live and a pleasing array of multimedia formats. Also bringing a smile to our chops is its slickness and ease of use, with immaculate onscreen presentation and lightning-quick loading times. It's only flaws are the lack of DTS HD Master Audio decoding and less-than-perfect picture quality that falls short of the high standards set by other players in its price range. But neither of these is a major crime - overall the BD300 is a great-value Blu-ray proposition which makes up for in features and useability what it lacks in picture prowess.
