Casio EXILIM EX-H10 Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The Casio EXILIM EX-H10 has retained all of the feature heavy capabilities of its 3x zoom brothers and added a whopping 10x optical zoom and an extra long-life battery. It still produces high quality crisp images.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Casio Exilim EX-H10's emphasis on fun is clearly geared toward a younger crowd, or to a user base looking for a "beginner's megazoom." Pocket-megazoom shoppers who want full manual controls should look to the Canon PowerShot SX200 IS, while snapshooters who want the camera to do most of the work might be better served by the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3S. If it's entertaining in-camera features you're looking for, the EX-H10 should be at the top of your list.

I like this little camera, it certainly seems to be pretty versatile and I've always been impressed with the set of features found on Casio compacts. Sure, it suffers from noise maybe a little bit too much and it'll get marked down for that but other areas make up for it and if you use the flash properly, you should be able to avoid having to crank the ISO up.

The only areas of the Casio that I didn't like were the high ISO settings and the mild under-exposure that it suffered from. Of course this can be amended with exposure compensation and I think other features such as the one button video recording option makes it more appealing to the YouTube crowd.

Casio's compact cameras keep getting better and better. The EX-H10 is quite expensive, but it offers the kind of features and image quality that you'd expect for the price. Build quality is excellent, the camera is easy to use and has superb low-light performance. Shooting speed is a little slow though, and the auto white balance is a bit poor.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Shots from the Casio are reasonably sharp and colourful for what is, at its heart, an entry-level snapper, and offer healthily warm flesh tones – which means that white skin is occasionally rendered closer to Tango orange. Also, images more noticeably have a digital look and feel straight out of the camera than certain competitors – occasionally looking like video "grabs".

The Imaging Resource‘s review Edit

Compact enough to take anywhere with a wide-ranging zoom and HD video capture, the Casio H10 really doesn't need any gimmicks to stand out from the crowd. But it has them. Dynamic Photo was fun but not something that will lead to a career, Landscape mode could go back to the drawing board, Make-up mode will endear you to your aging relatives, and there are Best Shot scene modes for just about any situation.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

The Casio EX-H10 is a good travel zoom camera, offering a compelling package of compact dimensions, versatile wide-angle lens, large LCD screen and HD movies, but ultimately it comes up short in several key areas when compared to the Panasonic DMC-TZ7 / TZ6.

The Casio Exilim EX-H10 is one of the most compact wide-angle megazoom cameras available, but its photos are less exciting...
