There’s no doubt that ViewSonic has cut some corners in the process of squeezing such a great IPS panel into a tight budget. But while you’ll miss out on the NEC’s DisplayPort input, brightness sensor and the slightly more robust stand, we’d hesitate to pay almost £100 more for the privilege. With Viewsonic’s zero pixel defect warranty, the VP2365wb looks like a fantastic bargain. If you want a great monitor at a sensible price, you’ve found it: ViewSonic’s VP2365wb delivers brilliant image quality and a great warranty at a decent price.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Admittedly, the VP2365wb doesn’t have the widest colour gamut, but it’s a match for any other monitor in the sub-£350 category. If you need a monitor for very fine photographic work, you should spend a bit more on the Eizo FlexScan SX2262W monitor, but the ViewSonic VP2365wb will be a fine choice for day-to-day design work.

Maximum PC‘s review Edit Like Unlike

We wouldn’t complain if we never had to review a cheap TN LCD panel ever again. Our experience with ViewSonic’s VP2365wb, on the other hand, has taught us we shouldn’t assume that the mere presence of an 8-bit IPS panel will ensure top-drawer performance. On the third hand, the fact that numerous online retailers are selling this monitor for just $300 renders it a solid value.
