Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) Panorama Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

The contradiction of the B&W is not, it turns out, that panorama is a visual noun when Panorama is an audio product. It's more that B&W is charging a premium price for what appears to be a premium product, but is in fact no way to make the best of a Blu-ray player's audio abilities.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Despite the paucity of features (did I mention there's no radio tuner or iPod dock, or HD audio support?) Bowers & Wilkins' Panorama is a formidable soundbar debutante. I suspect it'll sell by the truckload.

Home Theater‘s review Edit

Of the soundbar speakers I’ve reviewed in the past year, the B&W Panorama is by far the handsomest and the most solidly built, and it has the most powerful built-in bass. This product’s $2,200 price tag won’t buy you surround effects as good as you’d get from a good set of conventional speakers. But it just may expand the audience for soundbar speakers among those who want a high-end implementation that does a convincing job with music in particular.

Forgive us for going all Sybil Fawlty and stating the bleedin’ obvious, but this is an expensive soundbar – you could get yourself a pretty good 5.1-channel speaker system for the same sort of money, or a rival soundbar for a fraction of the price.
