They’re admittedly a little bit on the forward side, which can be fatiguing over long listens, but they’re also exciting. Despite the mic being a little low, call quality is also very clear indeed.

The dilemma there is that while the cheaper products sound vastly superior to those crappy bundled earphones, they're still nowhere near as good as the high-end ones. And that's why you need to find a balance between price and quality. The Atomic Floyd HiDefDrum earphones - and the rest of the Atomic Floyd range for that matter - do offer that balance.

If you're comfortable with a more traditional earbud rather than canal fitting earphone design and enjoy grooving along primarily to pop and dance fodder then the Atomic Floyd HiDefDrum AcousticSteel earphones should be music to your ears.
