You’re probably more accustomed to seeing Roksan’s hi-fi electronics, but don’t let the K2 TR-5s slip under your radar. The K2s’ black lacquered cabinets look elegant, and the speakers feel solidly built. Unusually the Roksans use ribbon tweeters, a piece of engineering normally reserved for a select few high-end speakers. Why? Well, not only are ribbon tweeters expensive to use, but they also don’t go as far down the frequency range as a traditional domed tweeter.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit Like Unlike

The TR-5 is not an easy speaker to sum up. It's unquestionably a very pretty little unit with top class cabinet work and the use of a ribbon tweeter adds a genuine touch of class. While some members of the panel welcomed its particular character, the lack of genuine neutrality remains an impediment to formal commendation.
