Although the Acer AL1715b LCDs don't offer any high flying features like you would find on a higher priced solution; such as DVI support, HDTV ready, or USB2.0 hub, the AL1715 does provide a dazzling 12ms response time, 300 cd/m2, 17" viewing area, and excellent build/image quality. Although the lack of physical adjustments and DVI support were the two main sticking points that we feel could be improved upon by Acer engineers at this time, the ravishing image quality, price, LCD brightness, and overall craftsmanship easily outweighed the downsides.
