Epson EH-TW5800 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

The ‘TW5800 is a Full HD, LCD design that features 12-bit video processing and the very latest version of Epson’s D7 C2 Fine Panel LCD technology. There’s nothing too taxing about setting up this projector.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

An almost silent runner that provides stunning colour accuracy, realistic blacks and decent motion blur-suppressing circuitry, with the EH-TW5800 Epson has taken the complicated concept of high-end home cinema and made it both versatile and accessible. If you’ve got the cash there’s few better.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Image-wise the TW5800 is gorgeous. Colour fidelity is rich and details and texture ping off the screen. Doubtless this is due to the combination of the D7 panel, HQV processor and Epson's DeepBlack system.

Although it's obviously disappointing that one of the TW5800's key features, Frame Interpolation, is rather problematic, it's worth pointing out that similar systems on most if not all other projectors and TVs are flawed too. In fact, the TW5800's stab at tackling the thorny issue of judder actually fares better than many, in most respects.
