Samsung SP-F10M Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

A capable office projector with a cost-saving LED light source, but it’s not quite bright enough for most office meeting rooms.

The Samsung SP-F10M offers a high-quality data image and an LED light source that lowers total costs by lasting the life of the projector.

ProjectorCentral‘s review Edit

The Samsung F10M is something of a revolutionary projector, though one might not think that by looking at it. Outwardly, it looks like just another me-too XGA business presentation machine, albeit with some nice features like a decent speaker and RJ45 networking. Instead, it is the brightest pure LED driven projector to hit the market thus far, and it comes at a bargain price. Does the F10M cost more than other, similar XGA LCD projectors? Yes, of course. The trade-off, though, is that you will never need to replace the lamp in the F10M. While that might not seem important now, in several years when the projector is still going strong you will look back on your initial purchase and smile.

While it’s hard to rave about the F10M, it’s also pretty hard to seriously fault it. For basically, aside from some rather hit and miss colour tones, it produces data LCD-like performance levels for only a small cost premium while delivering all the usual LED benefits - including, most notably, that ‘one bulb for life’ boast. All of which means it’s surely only a matter of time before we start to see LED lighting having a go at the affordable home cinema market too.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The addition of this file support makes the Samsung SP-F10M a choice for those who need a projector that does a little more than just display what you have on your PC. It means you don't have to be a slave to your computer for presentations, you can preload the information or use a USB drive instead. This makes it a solid choice for group events where different people need to use it, perhaps presenting group work, or conference centres.

The lamp life is staggering and the image quality good, but this projector is a tad too expensive
