Olympus E-450 Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

Unfortunately, the side effect of the E-450's neat styling is comfort. The E-450 barely offers enough grip on the right hand side. Instead of nestling the camera in the palm of your hand, you have to pinch it between your thumb and your middle finger, which is uncomfortable. The image quality is middling rather than overwhelming however, the E-450 has some definite plus points and the Olympus store price has it pegged as the cheapest cameras on test here.

Image quality is great, though, as is noise control and colour rendition. If you can see past the complexity of the buttons then you will bag yourself a lovely little camera.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Although Olympus E-450 is a budget model, it's not been dumbed down and keen photographers will find it gives them all the hands-on control they want, without burying the technicalities, and that's a large part of its charm.

An interesting body design, but it isn't comfortable, and doesn't compare well with the Sony A330

LetsGoDigital‘s review Edit

The image quality of the Olympus E-450 is certainly good. Especially for the novice, the Olympus E-450 will be a good camera that allows for easy and effective shooting. The many settings, a pleasant operation and a compact size make the camera combination that can be looked at with pride.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

The Olympus E-450 is a very compact, lightweight yet fairly robust feeling little DSLR that comes with a lot of features for an entry-level camera. Not only does it offer manual exposure and focusing modes for the advanced user; it also has features like highlight-, shadow- and midtone-based spot metering, user-configurable mirror lock-up (Anti-Shock), wireless TTL flash control, Shadow Adjustment Technology and contrast-detect auto-focus in Live View.
