Razer Abyssus Pro Reviews

bjorn3d‘s review Edit

We found the Abyssus to be a deadly accurate gaming Mouse and the 3 button design kept us focused on what we were doing in game without having to think about what each of 9 buttons does. Movements were swift, key clicks were fast and required minimal effort. We clickfested in Sacred 2 for hours and fatigue wasn't an issue. We precision Sniped in Crysis for hours then run and gunned our way to victory in Call Me Ishmael a lot easier than when we ran the same scene with a borrowed low end 800 DPI optical mouse. Having so many high end mice around the lab it's nice to revisit the 90s 800DPI version mice to refresh our memory on how spoiled we've become when gaming with the Razer Abyssus.

The Abyssus is a great value gaming mouse with a lightweight design, but it lacks a couple of important features.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Razer Abyssus Mirror claims to get back to the basics, but goes back a bit too far while costing more than its competitors.

We aren’t impressed by the Razer Abyssus. Worse still are the Abyssus’ gimmicky extras. The Abyssus deserves to be as anonymous as its namesake and, with nothing to make it stand out from the mouse crowd, that might just happen.

techPowerUp!‘s review Edit

The Razer Abyssus is an interesting attempt at making a budget gaming mouse with an ambidextrous design. Sensor wise the mouse is very well equipped and the 3500 DPI infrared sensor performs flawlessly on most of the gaming surfaces around except for the ancient SteelSeries QcK according to some users online. And the 3rd generation optical infrared sensor is not quite on par in terms of performance compared to the very latest laser sensors on the market, however, the sensor in the Abyssus does not use prediction which means you do not lose definition in some circumstances. This particular trait is extremely important in FPS games where you need absolute precision.
