Dell Adamo Admire Pro Reviews

Fudzilla‘s review Edit

With the Adamo, Dell didn't just make another notebook, it created an entirely new brand, and as a brand, the Adamo works just fine. We just hope the economic crisis and poor demand don't make Dell change its mind and drop the concept, as the Adamo really shows promise. It's the first product in an entirely new series, so we didn't expect it to be perfect. We're hoping Dell will expand the brand with some more affordable models, more screen sizes, including non-glare options, and some cheaper chips inside.

Dell's Adamo is an undeniably desirable ultra-portable laptop and at £1,000 it's cheaper than other similarly specified ultra-portables. Its comparatively short battery life and uncomfortable keyboard limits its usefulness, though.

Engadget‘s review Edit

It's hard to say if releasing a computer like this right now is bad timing or just ignorance on Dell's part. Weirdly, while Microsoft is busy trying to convince users that PCs are a better value with its new ad campaign, the Adamo flies right in the face of that notion - offering less computing power for far more money, all while wearing its form-over-function aesthetic right on its brushed aluminum sleeve. Is that a daring move for Dell? Definitely. Is it smart? That's for the buyer to decide.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Beautiful but expensive and devoid of the greatest specs, the Dell Adamo is the epitome of the luxury laptop. Note to Apple: be a little flattered. And maybe a little worried. We can see where Dell is going with the Adamo, and while we can't exactly recommend it for computing power, this notebook may make up for it (a little) in sex appeal.

AnandTech‘s review Edit

It's not a perfect computer by any means. It's not a powerhouse by any means, it's not as small as the MacBook Air, it's not that light for its size, the battery life is pretty poor, there aren’t that many ports, and minor things like the keyboard and speakers are mediocre at best. The singular reason you should consider the Adamo over another CULV thin and light is because of the industrial design and styling.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Dell Adamo lives up to its name in design, but with its lackluster performance and battery scores, it isn't for performance seekers.

A stunning piece of design to rival any Apple offering, and the price is surprisingly reasonable
