Sony VAIO VGN-P11Z Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

The P11Z/R is unlike any other netbook here. It's a desirable piece of kit, but it's still hard to recommend. You're paying a huge premium for the diminutive size and weight.

bit-tech‘s review Edit

Ultimately, the Sony P-series is so close, but so far from being a wonderful technological achievement – the geek inside us wants to love it, but reality tells us otherwise. It has failed because of poor software choices and some questionable design decisions that hinder the overall computing experience. Maybe we’ll see a revised version come along at a later date, but for now the Sony P-series is one to avoid – just don't let its gorgeous figure give you that warm fuzzy feeling because beauty is only skin deep here.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Words truly cannot describe how painful it is to do anything on this netbook, such is its slovenly rate of response. Basic web browsing is a miserable experience. Pages are slow to load and all but the most low res, low bit-rate web video is jerky.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The VAIO VGN-P11Z/W is a curious machine, with no real rivals. The high resolution display and faultless usability will interest users who struggle with Netbooks, but the cost may be an issue. The Intel Atom processor may also seem an odd choice at this price, but if you're seeking the ultimate in portability, there are few machines that can compete.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The P-series is a truly unique device, offering the ultimate in portability, but whether that’s enough is difficult to say. For a start, the combination of Windows Vista and a single-core 1.33GHz processor is a poor choice, and the little Sony simply isn’t fast enough to run it convincingly.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

The Sony VGN-P11Z is without a doubt an optically impressive device with its very elegant and chic appearance. Especially because it distinguishes itself through its elongated, small and compact form from other netbooks, it will attract many curious glances.
