Dell Inspiron 14z Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

Dell has produced a smart budget machine with the refreshed Inspiron. It's true that the laptop relies on integrated graphics, which means its power isn't everything when it comes to gaming. That said, the 14z is a good all-rounder that's well built and comes with a decent spec for the price.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Dell Inspiron 14z thins down the bulky look of the average Inspiron laptop while sacrificing none of the performance or battery life, adding up to an affordable mainstream notebook that's an excellent late consideration for back-to-school shopping.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

Aside from a few minor annoyances, the Dell Inspiron 14z (Core i5) is a stylish, powerful, and battery-efficient mainstream laptop.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Dell has aimed the Dell Inspiron 14z squarely at users who are more concerned with flash than substance, and who consider a 7-hour battery life to be a core quality for a laptop. Students are an obvious demographic here, and they should be able to get their money's worth out of a good-looking machine that won't have them scrambling to find an outlet or leave the library.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Dell Inspiron 14z is essentially the conservative alter-ego of the Studio 14z, as it keeps many of the features that the latter would consider antiquated, such as an integrated optical drive, a VGA-Out, and Intel's integrated graphics. And while the Studio 14z is aimed at aspiring video editors and part-time photographers, the Inspiron 14z's Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processor is indicative of its emphasis on battery prowess rather than fast performance.

NotebookReview‘s review Edit

The Dell Inspiron 14z is a basic 14-inch notebook that delivers good battery life at the expense of performace. If your child or your family is looking for a convenient laptop for general use then the Inspiron 14z can handle daily tasks with ease. That said, the overall price/performance ratio is a little hard to justify when the Dell Studio 14z offers better performance at a lower price.

This Inspiron is a full-featured, 14-inch thin-and-light for the small-business and SOHO sets. Its battery life is a plus; performance is merely so-so.
