Shure SE115 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

Low frequencies are taut and agile and this allows the headphones to time extremely well. The whole sound is full-bodied and expertly balanced, with no sign of thinness in the treble. The vocals and piano throughout Adele's Hometown Glory sound both detailed and emotive. If you're thinking of splashing out some in-ear headphones that cost (relatively) big bucks, give the SE115s a chance and we're certain they'll shine.

ubergizmo‘s review Edit

Overall, Shure’s SE115 are undoubtedly a vast improvement over the earbuds that come with the iPhone, iPod, and most other music players. An alternative to the SE115m+ headset is the combination of SE115 with a microphone adapter, such as Shure’s own “Music and Mobile Phone Adapter” , which may save you money and allows you to cut down on cord if you don’t always need the microphone and controls. Either way, you may well discover some secret sounds in your favorite music – subtleties you’d never noticed when you were still wearing the earbuds provided in your music player’s iBox.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

With more bass and a lower price tag than most Shure models, the SE115 will appeal to those looking for a budget-friendly earphone upgrade - but not to those who want flat response.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Available in four colours, the Shure SE115s do offer fantastic audio performance for the price. And for £99 we would have recommended you be wary before buying them - to make sure they were right for you. But for around £66 and falling, these are a steal.

It's great that Shure has a decent sounding set of in-line remote-packing earphones available for those looking to upgrade the awful examples bundled with the iPod shuffle, iPod touch and iPhone. Unfortunately the asking price just isn't realistic right now.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

We were expecting a little more from the SE115. It's not that the sound is poor, but it might not meet your requirements across all types of music. If you listen mostly to music where bass plays a big part, you might find that you are left a little underwhelmed. If, however, it is mostly acoustic or orchestral, then the SE115 are a little more suited.

Gizmodo‘s review Edit

Shure's SE110 earbuds emerged victorious in last summer's in-ear headphone battlemodo, delivering great sound quality and value. Now the new, improved SE115s have arrived, promising superior bass handling over its predecessor. Do they meet expectations?

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

While they fall short on clarity and detail, the Shure SE115 earphones deliver impressive bass, making them a solid option for people who listen to a lot of hip-hop and reggae...
