Garmin Nuvi 3790T Pro Reviews

www.computeractive.co.uk‘s review Edit

Despite those minor problems the Nuvi 3790T is a stylish and impressive navigator that worked well. It's available online for around £50 off the recommended price, which is good value.

PC World‘s review Edit

The Nuvi 3790T is a nicely designed GPS with a sleek, light case, and the 800 by 480 screen packs a lot of information onto the display. But for the device's premium price of $450, I would have expected advertising-free live traffic and lifetime map updates. Since competing products priced at around $200 offer these features, it's hard to recommend the Nuvi 3790T.

The Garmin nuvi 3790T is one of the few sat-navs we’ve come across that elicits desire before you’ve even turned it on. Fortunately, when you do, the attractive looks are matched by a capable set of features as well. If you’re a regular rush hour commuter or travel frequently for business, we’d still recommend a TomTom device with HD Traffic, as this is noticeably more effective than vanilla RDS-TMC for avoiding jams. But if you want a beautifully functional sat-nav with particularly good voice control and on-foot capabilities, the 3790T fits the bill very well indeed.

Engadget‘s review Edit

It's the sleekest, most refined PND on the market, and the feature set leaves little to be desired. If you've already got an Android device that gets you from point A to point D effectively, the 3790T is a far tougher sell. Despite being sleek enough to carry around as you would a smartphone, it's still difficult to justify carrying both this and a NAV-infused smartphone.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Garmin nüvi 3790T is a solid navigator that raises the bar for the standalone GPS category, with its slim build, ultra-high-resolution screen, flexible routing and traffic, and gorgeous terrain mapping.

The Garmin nuvi 3790T is drop-dead gorgeous. If you're willing to pay its premium price you'll get a navigation device that not only looks good, but offers excellent build quality, a great screen and what we think is the best overall navigational experience of any GPS unit on the market.
