TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

In action the BD-P3600 is indeed a thing of beauty: the user interface is slick, it's the quickest disc loader we've ever encountered and picture quality is superb. Acute detail response gives the image a crisp, piercing quality while the screen is ablaze with pure, dazzling colours.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Samsung BD-P3600 is a quirky yet stylish Blu-ray player that exudes a lot of charm. It comes with plenty of high-end features for AV enthusiasts, while remaining simple and user-friendly. On the downside, the Sony PlayStation 3 offers many of the same features and costs the same.

The Samsung BD-P3600 is a huge leap ahead for standalone Blu-ray players, with blazing-fast operational speed, tons of features, and excellent image quality.

Home Theater‘s review Edit

Samsung’s BD-P3600 delivers some compelling features, making it by far the most feature-laden player of this group. However, keep in mind that this player comes in at $400, and both the Sony and Panasonic offer models that have similar features for the same price, including Wi-Fi Internet from Sony and multichannel analog audio from Panasonic. I was a bit disappointed that Samsung abandoned the high-end HQV Reon-VX video processing solution, but its standard Blu-ray playback was still outstanding.

PC World‘s review Edit

The Samsung BD-P3600 delivers great-looking images and Internet streaming. But it should be a lot easier to use than it is in practice.

The BD-P3600 takes everything we loved about the BD-P4600, packs it into a different but equally attractive box and throws in a few extra frills for good measure. There's a plethora of features (Wi-Fi and 7.1 outputs being the highlights), plus loading times are fast and AV performance is excellent. But best of all its £250 price tag makes it excellent value for money, putting it right up there with the LG BD370 and Panasonic DMP-BD60 in the holy trinity of budget Blu-ray decks.

hdtvsolutions‘s review Edit

With 7.1 analog audio outputs and superior picture quality, the Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray player is a great choice for a home theater with a non-HDMI equipped receiver. With the added capability to wirelessly connect to the Internet and your home network, this player can become a vital cog in a home media system.
