Microsoft SideWinder X3 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

A decent replacement mouse for use on the desktop, but it's gaming features are rather lacklustre. There are many better gaming mice.

In its price category, nothing really compares with the X3. It's inexpensive and provides plenty of punch for gamers. It even holds its own versus mice offered for twice the price.

It's not a bad mouse by any means, but unless you're a southpaw there are alternatives to the X3 that don't cost considerably more but offer a greater breadth of features.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The SideWinder X3, Microsoft's newest gaming mouse, skimps on bells and whistles but delivers 2,000-dpi performance and on-the-fly resolution changes.

CrunchGear‘s review Edit

It’s not a bad mouse, but when you can get a Death Adder, G500 for under the price of this thing, there’s really not much else to say. Those are simply much better mice. It might be a good “gateway” mouse, as I noted in the intro, but it’s no better than the Kinzu in that regard, and the Kinzu has a much better layout. I’m afraid this mouse is the true runt of the Sidewinder litter.
