Olympus SP-570 UZ Pro Reviews

ephotozine‘s review Edit

In very good light, the lens can produce some stunning results. The metering is reliable, and only fooled by excessive backlighting. Best results are obtained by using aperture priority and taking more control of the picture. For a hobbyist moving up from a smaller compact, there is the zoom range available but little more. for the enthusiast trading down to an all in one option, there is little to recommend. The annoyances far outweigh any benefits of features and zoom range.

DigitalCameraReview‘s review Edit

Up to the point when I opened the box containing the Olympus SP-570 UZ, the Canon S5 was my all-time favorite long zoom digicam. Having now spent some time with the SP-570, that's no longer the case. Serious shooters looking for that mythical point-and-shoot digicam that adequately replaces a DSLR and a bag of lenses could do much worse than the SP-570 UZ.

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

the Olympus SP-570 UZ is a very capable 10.1-megapixel Ultra-zoom camera that offers a variety of very nice features, including an awesome 20x Wide zoom lens. The image quality was excellent both indoors and out. The one disappointment is that its performance has not gotten any better from the previous model.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

The main selling point of the camera is the huge zoom, and this is one area where the SP-570UZ doesn't disappoint. So long as you steer clear of f/8, the lens delivers excellent sharpness across its entire range.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

Even though its image quality isn't quite as consistent as that of competing models, this superzoom boasts plenty of useful features that make it worth considering.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Olympus SP-570 UZ is a pleasant camera to use, with some nice handling features such as a decent EVF, good zoom ring and plenty of control. It's Raw capabilities are interesting, but it lacks the finesse of some competitors, particularly when it comes to the images, Apart from exposure, which is easily remedied, the fringing from the lens is appalling, while the noise is average. You may be buying the longest super-zoom available but it's hardly the best.

LetsGoDigital‘s review Edit

The Olympus SP-570 UZ is a mature digital Megazoom camera with many setting possibilities. The camera has all-round features and will certainly also appeal to the more enhanced photographer. The concept is well thought-out and is supported by the experiences of several camera generations.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Poor performance diminishes the Olympus SP-570 UZ's potential as an otherwise solid megazoom.
