ATI Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition Pro Reviews

hardocp‘s review Edit

If you are running ATI Radeon HD Eyefinity 6 as a single video card, the 2GB frame buffer is not going to help you much in high Eyefinity resolution situations. In its multi-GPU configuration, the 2GB of RAM per GPU is going to start to show its advantages for you when you crank it up to high Eyefinity resolutions. This is where the Eyefinity 6 video cards shine, in that upper resolution area with CrossFireX.

HEXUS‘s review Edit

Looking ahead, Eyefinity holds plenty of promise. Faster graphics cards will only help enhance performance - and you can expect to see dual-GPU Radeon HD 5970 Eyefinity 6 Editions in the near future - but arguably the most important developments will come from the industry as a whole. What Eyefinity needs to truly shine is affordable bezel-less displays and software designed to make better use of Eyefinity configurations.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

Surely, the Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition is a specialty product, aimed at the few folks out there willing to “go big” on displays. Its competitive position is made that much stronger by the fact that Nvidia’s flagship maxes out at two simultaneous outputs.

tweaktown‘s review Edit

I'll ignore the fact for just a moment that ATI seem to push Eyefinity as 99% gaming and 1% productivity and say from a productivity perspective that these cards now just seem overkill.
