Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 Pro Reviews

Camera Labs‘s review Edit

Sony’s Cyber-shot DSC-W200 is certainly not a cheap compact. This is partly understandable given the 12.1 Megapixel sensor, but sadly it’s not reflected across the rest of the specifications. Sure the optical viewfinder, manual control and wide range of accessories are nice to have, but for many people they won’t make up for the entry-level screen and average zoom range.

LetsGoDigital‘s review Edit

The Sony DSC-W200 is a compact camera that is a joy to use. Thanks to its small size you can easily carry it with you in the pocket of your trousers or jacket. This is particularly nice when travelling. The performance is excellent. Pictures can be taken in HD1080 quality and the highest ISO value ranges to no less than 6400. The incorporated image stabilizer works very well and the Stamina battery lasts a long time.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

On paper the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 promises to be one of the more interesting compacts around for the keen shutterbug. Ultimately, however, it's let down by a combination of poor image quality, mixed responsiveness and strange implementation of some key features.

The Imaging Resource‘s review Edit

The Sony Cyber-shot W200 is definitely worth a closer look if you want a capable digital camera that's also small and pocket-friendly. With a 12.1-megapixel CCD, the Sony W200 captures great detail and resolution, with very good detail definition in most cases.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

There’s no question that the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 is a very good camera, capable of producing very high quality images, and with exceptional performance, especially in low light conditions. Build quality is superb, and the optional manual exposure and focusing options are a bonus for experienced users.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200's 12-megapixel sensor raises the price of an otherwise decent snapshot camera, with little benefit. The W90 and W80 are better deals.
