ASUS N82JV Pro Reviews

PC World‘s review Edit

The Asus N82Jv has good graphics, a nice screen, and a USB 3.0 port. If only it weren't so heavy.

AnandTech‘s review Edit

Those familiar with ASUS will find the usual assortment of good and bad in the N82Jv. The overall build quality is good, but we're still dealing with a predominantly plastic chassis and there's the usual bit of flex that accompanies such designs. In terms of technology, ASUS is ahead of the curve with USB 3.0 and they've been the biggest adopter of NVIDIA's Optimus Technology since day one.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

The ASUS N82Jv-X1 is a stylish and powerful notebook, limited only by its substandard battery life. At $999, it costs the same as the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460, which offers slightly less performance in exchange for greater battery life. However, if endurance is what you're after--and we can't imagine anyone not wanting that attribute in a 14-inch system--then the Gateway ID49C08u ($849) represents the best deal. But for gamers who won't stray too far from an outlet, the N82Jv is worth a look.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

Although the Asus N82Jv-X1 is a powerful mainstream laptop in every respect—thanks to its fast Core i5 processor and top-tier Nvidia chipset—the HP Envy 14 and Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 have a slight edge in overall performance.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

If you're looking for a good compromise of performance and battery life and don't put much emphasize on display quality and noise development, the Asus N82JV could be right for you.
