Panasonic VIERA TX-P37X20B Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

It's not an unpleasant performance by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, for a while it looked like the Panasonic's general capability at an awesome price might be enough for it to secure the full five stars. That was before we saw the LG 37LD490, though, which costs just £15 more but beats the X20 for performance and boasts features such as Freeview HD, internet video, and an EPG that doesn't make you cross-eyed. Still, the Panasonic remains a very decent TV for the money, especially if you're going to feed it an exclusively standard-definition diet.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Now we're on a negative path, black levels, while good, aren't as imperious as those of more expensive Panasonic sets; pictures aren't as bright or dynamic as those of your average LCD; the screen tends to reflect light, and while motion is free of blur, even the 100Hz engine can't stop camera pans juddering a bit.

The P37X20B is a tempting option for a reasonably serious, HD-loving, but cash-strapped AV fan. It delivers some clear and desirable advantages over similarly priced LCD screens and achieves an incremental improvement over last year’s X10 series.
