Digital Trends‘s review Edit

The Mach V is predictably awesome. Although the strange motherboard orientation does result in a number of drawbacks, it also allows for excellent cooling while keeping the fan count low. As a result, this computer is free to be a true design statement. It stands in contrast to most enthusiast systems, which are a mish-mash of fan mounts, LED lighting and ports. And if the monolithic black doesn’t do it for you, Falcon Northwest will be happy to paint your computer with a custom color or design (for a price, of course). I’ll take mine in rosso scuderia.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

It's unexpected: a top-of-the-line Falcon Northwest Mach V with the latest hardware, for less than $5,000. Though the Falcon Northwest Mach V (Core i7-2600K) is less expensive than previous models, it's no slouch. It still manages to win the crown of as the Editor's Choice of über-gaming PCs.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

According to Falcon Northwest, the company is working to repair an issue with the 3D card in this Mach V build that resulted in physical damage to the motherboard. We intend to follow up. Assuming that issue is resolved, we recommend this desktop and its overclocked, six-core Core i7 CPU to anyone in search of no-compromise application performance.

ExtremeTech‘s review Edit

The Mach V Core (i7-975), priced at $8,240 direct ($5,515 without paint and SSDs), is the new top of Falcon Northwest's line. It's the computer equivalent of a McLaren F1 supercar: very fast and very expensive, and if you own a truly tricked-out one, you're in the company of a select few.

This configurable six-core PC is a hyper-speed performance machine, with a glitzy paint job that makes it look as good as it cooks.

The Falcon Northwest Mach V (Core i7-980X) is a hardcore gamer's dream. Three monitor Eyefinity support wraps the gaming experience around the player. It's pricey, but worth it if you want an immersive gaming experience.
