Samsung UN55C9000ZF Pro Reviews

hardwarecanucks‘s review Edit

There is no denying the fact that the UN55C9000 is a technological tour de force but does fall short in several areas. However, this doesn’t stop it from being the poster child for what the future of HDTVs will hopefully look like. It improves upon some of the weaknesses we saw in past LED HDTVs and the overall great HD picture performance belies its ultra slim frame. As such it receives our Dam Innovative Award.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The UE55C9000 is a difficult TV to score, because it’s basically more of a statement product, than something that’s going to sell in big numbers. Obviously, it’s the design and slimness of the set that pushes the price up, and there really is no other TV on the market that is as aesthetically pleasing.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Samsung Series 9 3D LED television is a very expensive proposition, with only a little change from £5,000. It is very stylish and well built, it has good picture quality and packs plenty of included features. It's not perfect - the touchscreen remote control is a disappointment, and it doesn't have the best picture quality we've seen from an LED TV - but overall it's an impressive product.

The UE55C9000 is tougher to stick a final mark on than any other TV we’ve reviewed. On the one hand, part of us says any 55in TV costing a minimum of £5,600 should be a near-perfect performer. Yet the UE55C9000 suffers some backlight inconsistency and 3D crosstalk. Plus the touchscreen remote is flawed at best. On the other hand, the UE55C9000 is so stunning aesthetically that this is arguably all that matters, with its picture and sound quality just a nice, thick layer of icing on a cake that well-heeled aesthetes will already have been unable to resist.

It all adds up to an extraordinary package. Yes, you can get close to the C9000’s performance with a £3000 UE55C8000, but as we said at the start, relative value isn’t the issue.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

It's expensive, but it very much looks the part. And if you're more interested in the visual performance than the aesthetics, there's always the brand's step-down Series 8 range. Overall this is a remarkable LED LCD screen. It exceeds expectations in most areas and stands as a shining example of just how well Samsung can do high-end screens.
